Little girl kidnapped two years ago, discovered in a secret area beneath the stairs. Who were the kidnappers?
A small girl who went missing in an American town more than two years ago was discovered by authorities during a search, hidden right in her parents’ house.
The child’s mother and father had their parental rights taken away two years ago, but they refused to recognize the court’s judgment and kept the daughter hidden under the stairs.
Paislee went missing in 2019 when she was four years old. The major suspects were her parents, who had lost custody of her. Only the police discovered nothing in their home, after raiding it multiple times. A detective observed something unusual during the last search.
“He spotted something that looked like a blanket,” said Chief Joseph Sinagra of the Saugerties Police Department. And it was on that basis that they began taking down the stairwell. After a few steps, they came across a pair of little legs.
They discovered the missing girl in that secret place.
“It was pretty nasty there, it was freezing, there were blankets lying on the concrete floor,” said Joseph Sinagra of the Saugerties Police Department. They were wet and heavy. “We suspect the little girl and her mother were hiding in that house every time we went to inspect new tracks.”
The tiny child, now six years old, was kept hidden there by her father, mother, and grandfather, according to police.
“I’m shocked that they appeared like average individuals,” said Annette Wrolsen, a neighbor.
The girl is in good health, has been reunited with her elder sister by authorities, and has been transported to her grandma, who is also her legal guardian. They did, however, make an unexpected stop along the route.
“She told us he remembered having a burger a long time ago, and she liked it,” said Joseph Sinagra of the Saugerties Police Department. So the cops reversed the car, went to a drive-through, grabbed a burger menu, and drove her to the police station. She felt much better after that. “
The girl’s parents and grandfather appeared in court and were given a restraining order; the reason they lost custody of the girl more than two years ago is unknown, although the girl’s father was detained shortly before he was deprived of his rights.
