So I always do my best to live life a day at a time. But that doesn’t mean I find everything that happens to me each day fascinating. It doesn’t also mean each day is filled with rainbows and sunshine. A friend of mine was once shot in the face by a group of robbers, financial struggles, people getting ill, deaths. Bad things are bound to happen – it’s an inevitable truth.
How we choose to deal with these events and view life, in general, determines what kind of life we’ll live. Living life to the fullest is the most important thing – that’s what should matter to you. It doesn’t have to be a monumental or extraordinary feat that defines your life. Special occasions shouldn’t be the only reason to live your life to the fullest.
For instance, one thing that’s going to help is a checklist. So if you smile, laugh, cry, and breathe in a day, you’re living life to the fullest because if you do all of these things, you just a heck of a day.
Three tips for living life to the fullest
Here are some quick tips for living your life to the fullest each day. So, let’s go:
- Do something you enjoy
Of course, this goes without saying. Do something that you enjoy each day. Do you love to work out? Go to the beach? Play some sports, or hang out with family and friends? Go ahead. So, make sure you do some physical activity every day. It doesn’t have to be any of these. It could also be reading (books or magazines), or taking a walk.
The point is, when you do something you love every day, you relieve stress and tension that’s built up throughout the day. After all, every day is an opportunity to do better.
- Make a difference in someone’s life.
Try to touch someone’s life each day. Do your best to make a positive difference in someone’s life. It could be through offering a listening ear or as simple as asking “how are you?” to the waiter. People will forget what you said, they’ll forget what you did, but they’ll never forget how you made them a fee. By simply doing a random act of kindness for someone else, you’ll experience life in a whole new way.
- Step out from your comfort zone
Learn to challenge yourself all the time. Push yourself and do something different. Sometimes, think what you’d normally do in a scenario and do the exact opposite. Some nights, you go to bed worn out, bruised and scraped up and mentally broken down – but in all of these, you can still think to yourself, “Wow, what a day!” A famous rapper once said, “Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.” So live every day like it’s your last.
