Why you should wait for someone you love?

Is it worth waiting for someone you truly love?

why you should wait for someone you love

Love is a complex feeling – and in this case, most people would say it is a black and white issue: “you should never wait for someone, you are too precious to do that; if that person loves you, they’ll come.” After all, self-respect is an interesting virtue. However, some problems are hard to navigate, and it requires time and effort to get out of. And only after that can a person commit. It is also one thing to wait for someone who makes an effort for you. If these conditions are met, can a person commit?

But it’s not straightforward. In the real sense of it, it is one thing to wait for a person who makes an honest effort for you. But what if the effort is missing – how do you wait for someone who doesn’t care if you do or not.

And there’s another thing to take note of that waiting for someone you love allows you to clear your mind and take time to think if you sincerely like that person truly. It could just be a fleeting moment of passion that’ll evaporate once you get over it.

Three Reasons to wait for someone.

  1. They communicate their commitment.

What’s the point of waiting for someone undecided about you? Someone who hasn’t shared with you their true intentions. This is why before taking that stand, you need to know their intentions and measure the person’s level of commitment. Sometimes, you can meet the right person after a difficult experience such as emotional trauma.

  • They are making an effort to come to you.

Without a doubt, when you meet that person for the first time, the initial stage can be fragile. At this point, they become more uncertain when that person can’t commit 100% due to the circumstances in their life; think settling in a new city, long work hours, temporary long-distance situations, family obligations, etc.

In this case, should you wait for them? Maybe you’ve got it wrong. The real question isn’t if you should wait. Rather, the ideal way to look at things is to consider these initial challenges as tests of commitment and character.

  • You know what you want; you just haven’t found that person yet.

So, should you wait for the “one,” or should you settle for someone just right for you? Interestingly, popular wisdom believes that you should hold out and wait for the right person though there are a few factors to consider. For instance; If you’ve got a defined type of person you want, you’d be doing others a huge favor by not wasting their time.

The only downside of waiting for someone you claim to love truly is if your criteria are impossible and restrictive, which leads to rejecting people you might be compatible with. So, let me ask again? Would you wait for someone you love?
