Thanks to Jamie Lee Curtis, John Travolta adopts the puppy from the Betty White Oscars tribute
Curtis featured a puppy during the award show on Sunday night, and the actor and his son were moved to adopt it.
John Travolta has a new furry member to his family.
After meeting her at the Oscars on Sunday night, the actor and his 11-year-old son, Ben, were inspired to adopt a rescue dog, and Jamie Lee Curtis assisted in the process.
During the special part of the award event, Curtis walked onto the stage with a beautiful little puppy named Mac & Cheese to pay respect to the late Betty White, who rescued numerous animals during her life.
“She was a woman who cared so much for not only her two-legged friends but for animals like this day in and day out for almost a century,” the actor remarked. “So, the best gift you could offer Betty White is to open your heart and home and adopt a rescue dog from (the charitable organization) Paw Works, exactly like Mac & Cheese.”
Someone sent Curtis a photo of Travolta in the green room holding Mac & Cheese later that night, before he received the award for best actor, she posted on her Instagram page Monday.
“It was so lovely to see him with her, and then I learned out today that he and his son, Ben, have adopted beautiful little Mac & Cheese and are taking her home today,” she said.
On Monday, Travolta uploaded a selfie of himself with Ben, who was clutching Mac & Cheese with a big smile on his face.
“Ben adopted this dog from last night’s Oscar tribute to Betty White. Thank you @curtisleejamie & @pawworks,” he wrote.
Many of Travolta’s fans, and many other celebrities, expressed their enthusiasm in the comments section.
