Younger siblings drive better than older siblings, according to a research
You’re justified if you’re terrified to get in the car with your brother behind the wheel. According to a survey conducted by an insurance firm, older siblings are the most dangerous drivers in the family.
If you are the firstborn and believe that your younger siblings would be protected simply because of their age, you are clearly mistaken.
The Privilege Car Insurance business researched 1,395 drivers of various genders and ages and discovered that the worst drivers are not the stereotyped elderly or female drivers.
The family order would determine the reason for the lousy pilots.
Those who are born first are more likely to be involved in accidents and are more careless. According to the study, 9 out of 10 first-borns drive at excessive speeds, 50% do not switch on the light to change lanes, and 30% run red lights or stop signs. They are also more likely to use cell phones while driving.
All of the above would result in a 35 percent increase in fines.
If you’re the youngest in the family, this indicates you’ll be the most responsible behind the wheel, so don’t underestimate yourself just because of your age. The same is true for only children, who do better than their elder siblings because only 30% of them change lanes without warning and drive more slowly.
