Kim Kardashian is being criticized by fans for Photoshopping the carpet in photos with Pete Davidson
Fans couldn’t help but notice a strange gap between the photographs Kim Kardashian released on Twitter and those she shared on Instagram when she became Instagram-official with Pete Davidson on Friday.
The carpet in the photos was plainly Photoshopped, according to social media users: the one on Twitter had a geometric design, while the floor covering in Kardashian’s Instagram image appeared to be solid gray.
The photos that the creator of Skims shared on Twitter have since been removed.
“I honestly have no idea why Kim edited the carpet.” One perplexed fan wrote on Instagram, alongside screenshots of the two versions, “Does anyone else know or care to take a guess?”
“So no one could guess what hotel she’s at,” one individual said, implying that the couple wished to remain anonymous.
Another follower said, “Addiction to editing has her editing the floors now,” while a third added, “That is just plain creepy haha. WHYYYY.”
Others remarked on how meticulously the editing was done, with one user remarking, “They even got the reflection on the FIRE EXTINGUISHER glass front to match. And the shadows are fantastic. This is incredible.”
On Oct. 29, Kardashian, 41, and Davidson, 28, were pictured holding hands on a ride at Knott’s Scary Farm in Southern California, sparking relationship suspicions. It came after the reality star’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” where she shared a kiss with Davidson in a “Aladdin”-themed parody.
Kardashian’s romance with Davidson comes as she fights for custody of her four children with Kanye West: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. She divorced the 44-year-old rapper in February 2021 and became officially single earlier this month.
Following West’s repeated attacks on him during rants and tirades on social media, Davidson deactivated his Instagram account, as Page Six previously revealed.
According to a source, the “King of Staten Island” star’s Instagram deletion had nothing to do with West allegedly bullying him off the network.
“Pete deleted his Instagram because he received a rush of messages, both nice and negative, shortly after his first post, reminding him why he didn’t want social media in the first place,” a source informed us.
“[Pete] is in the midst of many major film projects and wants to remain laser-focused on his job and the good things in his life.”
