Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis provide an update on their fundraising efforts to help Ukrainian refugees raise $30 million.
Ashton Kutcher shared another update on his and wife Mila Kunis’ goal of raising $30 million for Ukrainian refugees on Thursday, March 10.
He wrote, “Thank you to everyone who helped us get to $20 million in less than a week,” along with a link to the GoFundMe page. “We’ve got this. We have a good chance of scoring. Together. Because we are united in our support for Ukraine. #StandWithUkraine️”
“We’d like to provide an update on our campaign to support Ukraine. In less than a week, we’ve raised more than $20 million. I use the word “we” since it refers to all of us working together “In a new video with Kunis, he says. “Some individuals couldn’t give because they didn’t have the financial means, but they did an incredible job of spreading the word and sharing it. But we’re not finished yet. Our target is 30, and we’ll get there.”
“But we do want to thank the 56,000 of you who were able to donate and support us, whether it was $5, $10, $1,000, whatever it was, it meant a lot to us because it gave us a sense of belonging and the power to contribute.”
“Let’s keep pushing, let’s keep spreading the word, and together, we can meet our $30 million goal,” Kutcher said, adding that the funds are already being put to good use. “Right now, there are over a million children in refugee status, so every little bit helps, and we appreciate it.”
