A security guard destroyed a picture worth over 850,000 euros. He was bored, so he drew two sets of eyes on faceless individuals from a painting at a Russian gallery.

The guard drew two pairs of eyes with a pencil on the painting “Three Figures” by artist Anna Leporskaya on his first day of work. The sculpture was displayed in the Yeltsin Center’s art gallery in Ekaterinburg, western Russia.

Two gallery visitors were the ones who recognized the extra details on two of the three people in the 1930s picture, according to Art Newspaper.

The security guard was suspended after claiming he was bored on his first day of work.

The painting will be restored for a total of 3,000 euros.

Police have launched an investigation into vandalism, which carries a punishment of about 500 euros and a year of community service.

For the artwork was made an insurance for 75 million rubles ($967k).
