The teaser for DC League of Super-Pets confirms Keanu Reeves as Batman

In the upcoming DC Comics animated feature film DC League of Super-Pets, Keanu Reeves will play Batman. In celebration of The Batman’s box office success, Warner Bros. has released a new teaser for the film, which shows what appears to be the first meeting between Reeves’ Batman and Ace, the dog portrayed by Kevin Hart in the film based on DC Comics’ Ace the Bat-Hound. While Warner Bros. previously stated that Reeves would provide his voice to the film, this is the first time they’ve acknowledged that he’ll be portraying Batman. The new teaser for DC League of Super-Pets can be seen below.

This year, Reeves will be one of four actors playing Batman on the big screen. Robert Pattinson plays Batman for the first time. For The Flash, Ben Affleck will reprise his role as Batman from Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. Michael Keaton reprises his role as Batman in The Flash, after appearing in Tim Burton’s Batman and Batman Returns. In the next HBO Max Batgirl film, Keaton will play Batman.

Reeves, Kate McKinnon, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, and Diego Luna are among the cast members of DC League of Super-Pets. Jared Stern and Sam Levine direct DC League of Super-Pets, which is based on a script created by Stern. Patricia Hicks, Dany Garcia, and Hiram Garcia co-produce with Johnson and Stern. Executive producers include John Requa, Glenn Ficarra, and Nicholas Stoller.

The threat that brings the Super-Pets together for the first time in the film was previously revealed by director and screenwriter Jared Stern to Entertainment Weekly. “I wanted it to be a real threat that you felt lived up to not just a funny movie, but a real serious superhero threat – but also one that can be overcome uniquely by a group of pets,” Stern explained. “I really wanted people to leave this film thinking about animation as a technique rather than a genre. ‘That was a really amazing superhero movie, and it had everything I love in a superhero movie: it had tremendous action, and it was incredibly enjoyable,’ I wanted them to think.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, DC League of Super-Pets was pushed back from its original 2021 release date. The release date has been pushed out to May 20th. The Batman is now on the big screen. The Flash, Black Adam, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are among the other DC Comics films set to release in 2022.
