Apple’s iOS 15.4 release 37 new emoji on iPhones, including a pregnant MAN
The 37 new emojis coming to iPhones have finally been announced, and they include anything from a pregnant man to a biting lip.
Apple’s own designs for the new emojis are already accessible in a beta test of the iOS 15.4 software update, which was released on Thursday. The final release is expected in the spring.
According to Emojipedia, which is part of the California-based Unicode Consortium, the central bank of all recognized emoji, the pregnant man and pregnant person recognize that ‘pregnancy is conceivable for some transgender males and non-binary persons.’

However, the two new pregnant emojis might also be used as a “tongue-in-cheek method to represent a food baby,” which is an extremely full tummy induced by a heavy meal.
Melting Face, Dotted Line Face, Face Holding Back Tears, and Face with Diagonal Mouth are among the seven new happy emojis in iOS 15.4.
A motorcycle tyre, a slide, a disco ball, a troll with a club, coral, kidney beans, and a low battery are among the other additions.

Last September, the Unicode Consortium approved candidates for version 14.0 of the emoji standard.
Apple, Google, and Microsoft, for example, include stylized versions of the consortium’s designs into their operating systems.
Emojipedia unveiled Apple’s in a blog post on Thursday, the same day that iOS 15.4 was released in beta.
Beta testing entails allowing a limited group of individuals to use a product in order to find any problems or issues before it is released to the broader public.

‘Since 2019, suppliers have made significant attempts to provide all persons with emojis with three alternative gender variants – one “Man,” one “Woman,” and a non-gender-specific “Person,”‘ according to Keith Broni of Emojipedia.
‘The current Apple beta version continues this trend by introducing two new gender-neutral people emojis, Person with Crown and Pregnant person, as well as a new Pregnant Man emoji.’
Jane Solomon, Emojipedia’s’senior emoji lexicographer,’ wrote a blog post titled ‘Why is there a pregnant guy emoji?’ in September, following some controversy when version 14.0 emoji candidates were officially approved off.
‘The new pregnancy possibilities may be used by trans males, non-binary persons, or women with short hair, however use of these emojis is not limited to these groups,’ she said.
‘Men are capable of becoming pregnant. This holds true in both the real world (for example, trans males) and fictional universes (for example, Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1994 film “Junior”).

‘It is possible for people of any gender to become pregnant. This is now represented by emojis.’
Guidelines given by the British Medical Association in 2017 to use the phrase “pregnant person” instead of “pregnant woman” in an attempt to recognize trans and non-binary persons were dubbed “an insult to women” at the time.

Seven brand new hand movements emojis are included in the new emoji release, each of which supports skin tone modifiers.
Rightwards Hand, Leftwards Hand, Palm Down Hand, Palm Up Hand, Hand with Index Finger and Thumb Crossed, Index Pointing at the Viewer, and Heart Hands are the terms used to describe these.
Seven fresh new happy emojis are also included in version 14.0, the most since the iOS 11.1 upgrade in 2017.
Melting Face, Face with Open Eyes and Hand Over Mouth, Saluting Face, Dotted Line Face, Face with Diagonal Mouth, and Face Holding Back Tears are some of the options.

Apple hasn’t announced a release date for iOS 15.4, but it’ll most likely be in March or April after at least a month of beta testing in February.
Other iOS 15.4 features include the ability to unlock your iPhone while wearing a mask, vaccination records in the Health App, and an Apple Card widget in the Today display.

Android users will be able to use these new emoji with Android 12L, which is set to be released in March.
Android, which is developed by the Open Handset Alliance and commercially sponsored by Google, already has its own versions of the new emoji published on Emojipedia.
