Jordan Peterson humiliates SI Swimsuit model Yumi Nu and is harshly criticized

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson has made another controversial statement about Yumi Nu, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model. The public did not agree with the 59-year-old’s viewpoint and he was heavily criticized for “body shaming” the plus-size model.

Yumi Nu said she was “shaking” when she found out she was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit for the first time.

Dr. Peterson, though, criticized her, “Sorry. Not beautiful. And no amount of authoritarian tolerance is going to change that.”

He justified himself by claiming that this is part of a progressive effort to “manipulate and retool the notion of beauty,” citing various studies to support his claim.

However, the conservative author of “12 Rules for Life” has come under fire for his viewpoint. According to one user, “‘Authoritarian,’ you say? Magazine covers with hunky women? You sound like a caricature of yourself.”

Another comment read, “He’s always been a parody of an “intelligent” psychologist, fools.”

The response to his tweet in the comments section has been harsh.

One Vogue Italia model took a middle ground approach, believing she could be in “better shape” for a swimsuit cover, “but no doubt attractive & respectable proportions.”

Hasanabi, a Twitch streamer, used the exact identical tweet with a screenshot of Dr. Peterson from one of his broadcasts, which had to be one of the worst burns.

Yumi Nu described the moment she heard that her photographic session had landed her on the cover of SI Swimsuit.

She said to The Post, “I could not speak. I had full-body chills. I was shaking; I was crying. They really got me good.”

“It’s amazing. I’m on cloud nine. This is nothing I could prepare for. It’s unexpected. I feel like we’re in a place right now where people are making space for more diversity on magazine covers.”

“It’s a big time for Asian American people in media. I know I play a big role in representation in body diversity and race diversity, and I love to be a role model and representative of the plus-size Asian community.”

Her star has risen since she graced the cover of SI Swimsuit, but she has a long and illustrious career.

Yumi Nu has walked the runway alongside supermodels Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid for major brands. She’s also appeared in Vogue photo shoots and was the February face of Vogue Japan magazine.
