After making major breast reduction surgery for her size 28H, a woman’s life was forever transformed
Janel Nelson, 20, just celebrated a reduction in the size of her breasts. Many others may not understand why, but the operation has given her so much relief that she refers to it as a “life-changing” procedure.
Janel revealed that she has been rejected for the treatment ten times since her health began to deteriorate when she was 16 years old.
Janel was a size 28H before the operation, a fantastic number for many ladies. However, it had only resulted in her suffering from back discomfort and “debilitating” migraines.
“The strain of my bra straps was constantly incredibly uncomfortable on my shoulders and neck,” she explained. “To gain some relaxation, my entire posture revolved around slouching.”
Nelson gets rashes frequently when it’s extremely hot outside, such as in the summer, due to the sweating under her breasts. However, none of them can compare to the headaches.
“I felt as though my body was robbing me of my confidence and limiting what I could and couldn’t do in life.”
She was turned down eleven times for the operation due to a variety of factors. Nelson was tired of waiting, from being “too young” to having to wait for her hormones to balance themselves.
When she was denied, she was always given “awful” reasons. “One doctor even asked, ‘What would your future husband think?” Nelson remembered.
Fortunately, her husband, Chandler Nelson, believes she should persevere. He pushed her to keep hunting for a willing partner. And it was through this channel that she met her doctor last year, who consented to operate on her on January 5.
“It’s been life-changing,” she said in the video, smiling. “It’s as though I’ve been given a new body.”
“I’m no longer limited in my wardrobe selections, and I can buy anything off the rack without even trying it on since I know it’ll fit.”
She admitted that she had great pain for a brief time after the surgery, but she never regretted it. And if somebody is thinking about it, she’ll give them the push they need.
“No amount of scarring or discomfort will ever deter me from having the surgery done again merely to feel and experience the relief I now have.”
“You deserve to feel comfortable in your body. You deserve to feel confident in the clothes that you wear. You deserve to be happy.”
