Husband of a pregnant woman killed in a car accident shares photos of her and her unborn child in the coffin
The Husband of Krystil Kincaid, a pregnant mother of four who was murdered in a car accident by an allegedly drunk boxer, has released images of his wife and unborn child from their funeral.
“A drunk driver speeding down a two-lane highway at 85+ mph in the wrong lane around a blind corner destroyed my family,” Zach Kincaid on Facebook.
Zach and his four children can be seen saying their final goodbyes to Krystil, 29, who is pictured lying in a casket with her pregnant baby girl resting on her chest.
Zach also removed the deceased kid from the casket, allowing his three children, whom he shared with Krystil, to hold the sister they never met. The baby was to be named Avalynn, according to the couple’s plans.
“The max sentence for killing my wife and daughter is 10 years max. The state of California doesn’t think there was intent, but I know driving recklessly in that manner, he didn’t intend anything good… my daughter’s due date was October 9th, a 36 week old fully developed baby isn’t considered a person in the state of California” Zach continued.
“How do I explain to my children this injustice. My children and I have never felt so disposable… Look at the devastation left behind that is my family and tell me it isn’t time for change… imagine if this was your family… Who will fight with me for change? Who will spread this life wild fire? Who will write their representatives and demand change?? We cannot as a society look the other way any longer,” Zach wrote concluding with, “Driving drunk is intent.”
The bereft husband also uploaded a photo of himself bidding his final goodbyes to his wife. On a GoFundMe page set up to assist Krystil’s family financially, the graphic photograph was published.
The Helmet Police Department said in a statement that professional boxer Marcos Forestal, 28, was allegedly inebriated when his BMW collided head-on with expecting mother Krystil in Hemet on Sept. 9 around 8.30 p.m.
Kincaid’s car was “half on fire” when officers arrived on the scene, authorities claimed, with the 8-month-pregnant woman locked inside. Krystil was transported to a nearby hospital after emergency services were able to put out the fire.
Kincaid was put on life support after her unborn child died, but doctors declared her dead the next day.
Forestal, the World Boxing Federation International Super Bantamweight champion, was seen wandering near his truck on the site, according to investigators.
“Forestal displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was arrested,” the Helmet Police Department continued.
On Facebook Live, the boxer broadcasted the aftermath of the collision. Some social media users filmed the now-deleted footage, which was then disseminated online and by the El Nuevo Herald.
Zach, who had been married to Kincaid for 12 years, told KTLA that he heard his wife cry just moments before the crash while they were talking on the phone.
The driver who caused the accident was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Hopefully this story will make fewer people get drunk behind the wheel.
