Dolphin swims close to the shore to play with dog
A dolphin and a dog share an unexpected encounter at the beach in an unprecedented scene. Despite the fact that these two species are unlikely to interact, it turns out that dogs and dolphins adore each other. We’ve seen them share special moments many times before, and this one is no exception!
Anastasia Vinnikova was out walking her dog Patrick on the beach when she had the experience of a lifetime. Anastasia was watching the sunset on Opuk beach on Crimea’s Black Sea coast when she noticed a pod of dolphins swimming close to the beach. But she had no idea they could get any closer.
In a heartwarming attempt to interact with the dog, one of the dolphins swam towards the beach, nearly reaching the shore. Curiosity drove the playful dog to become fascinated by the friendly marine creature, and it wasn’t long before the two joined in a game of chase through the peaceful waves.
The unexpected encounter lasted a few minutes, with the dolphin swimming back into the sea and occasionally returning inches from the beach. Patrick almost touches the marine mammal’s tail while chasing it into the water on one occasion.
Anastasia captured the heartwarming moment on camera and shared it online, and people can’t get enough of it. “Patrick has touched a dolphin, but I have yet to do so,” the woman wrote on Instagram. “No one was injured in the video. The dolphins are swimming near the shore, catching fish.”
