A man, 23, who has been married to his wife, 77, for six years, describes her as his dream woman
Almeda Hardwick, 71, was mourning the death of her son. She met Gary Hardwich, who was 17 at the time, and now, six years later, they’re celebrating their relationship with a photo montage.
Gary, who was younger than one of Almeda’s grandchildren, had recently ended a relationship with another elderly woman, who was 77 at the time she met Almeda.
His wife described him as “extremely mature for his age.” Gary’s mother, 48, gave her approval, and the couple also met his grandmother, Carolyn, who was Almeda’s age.
Gary proposed to the woman two weeks after they started dating, and they married on October 26, the same year Gary turned 18.
The couple has remained married to this day, frequently sharing their experiences, including the time Almeda had a heart attack that gave them a real scare. Gary captioned the montage he posted on their TikTok page, “So many more wonderful years to come.”
Skeptics found their relationship unusual due to their 53-year age difference.
Gary also kept an OnlyFans page where he shared photos from their couple photoshoot. They’ve also stated that their sex life is as active as it has ever been.
When asked about her previous relationship, Almeda stated, “I was married for 43 years and there wasn’t a lot of kissy, huggy stuff going on… no romance.”
“[My current relationship] is a whirlwind,” the mother of four continued.
“We are constantly complimenting and kissing each other. We’re having a good time together. When you meet the one, you know you don’t want to let go of that feeling.”
Gary, who has over 300 TikTok videos, frequently complimented and praised his wife. He’s also been seen singing love songs and making loving gestures to the woman.
“I celebrate our love and thank God for sending me my angel, my soulmate each and every day,” he wrote in one of his Valentine’s Day posts.
“You are an incredible wife in every way. You always encourage me in everything I do, you show me unconditional love every day, and you always make me laugh and smile. My love, you truly are the best. Thank you so much for everything, baby. I will be eternally grateful to be your husband.”
Gary also stated that he has “never been attracted to younger women.” “Even when I was 13 or 14, I’ve always had an attraction to older women, and when I told my grandmother, who raised me, I wasn’t sure how she’d take it, but she accepted us,” he continued.
As a result, when asked about his marriage, Gary’s response was predictable: he was truly happy.
Gary added, after describing Almeda as a “wonderful lover,” “I never feel like I’m missing out on anything by being married to Almeda.”
